Privacy
What Lexitera keeps about you, why, and where it goes.
Sign-in and account
You sign in with Google. We keep your name and email from that account so you can log in and pick up where you left off, and you stay signed in for 90 days without logging in again. We never see or store your Google password.
Word lists and progress
The words you add, the translations you write yourself, and how you answer the cards are stored in Lexitera's own database on our server — that is the content of the service, and there is nothing to learn without it. None of it is shared with anyone or used for anything beyond the app itself.
Page photos
The "From a photo" button sends the picture itself to Google Gemini for text recognition; Lexitera's server keeps none of it — only the text the model returns, which then becomes a word list the same way pasted text does. Photos are capped per day.
What is not here
No ads, no trackers, no analytics, no cookies — sign-in runs on a token in localStorage, not a cookie. Nothing is sold or handed to a third party beyond the two Google services named above: sign-in, and, for whoever uses it, photo recognition.
Deleting data
Any list or word in it can be deleted right in the app, any time. To erase the whole account, write to the address below and everything tied to it goes with it.
